Last week I joined our Women in Leeds Digital (WiLD) conference – I am lucky enough to chair WiLD – and joined in the three sessions, Be, Build and Belong Digital.
Victoria Speight, co-founder of Leeds-based Laboc Communications, says her mentor has been a life-saver and helped her cope with the impact of COVID-19 on her business.
There are always rays of light even in challenging times. It is fantastic to see so many mentors signing up for Next-Up's 500 mentors campaign, supported by Leeds City Council.
Thanks to the dozens of people who have signed up to be mentors to entrepreneurs and leaders – of any sector – in these challenging times (if you want to know more – go to www.next-up.com and click on the 500 mentors popup).
Anyone in a leadership or ownership position – entrepreneur, business leader or leading a public sector or voluntary organisation – has a vast amount to cope with in this pandemic.
Next-Up has just launched their 500 mentors initiative with the support of Leeds City Council. I think it is a great idea - we’ll all need to help each other like never before both during and in the wake of COVID-19.
