Barrett Steel, the UK’s largest independent steel stockholder and processor, has appointed Wetherby-based digital design and development agency NetConstruct to support its international expansion.
Following the successful completion of a project to build a new brand and website for Barrett Steel, NetConstruct has been awarded a substantial contract to manage the company’s digital marketing.
Managing director of NetConstruct David Bentley, said: “Barrett Steel wanted greater competitive advantage and closer engagement with its customers, which it knew couldn’t be achieved through a static website alone. Our strategy is designed to support their ambitious business goals in a traditional sector where digital marketing is not common practice, which this includes the ‘Making Steel Sexy’ video we have produced for Barrett’s viral marketing and events.”
Managing director of Barrett Steel’s tubes division Ralph Robinson said: “NetConstruct impressed us with their collaborative approach and understanding of our business. This digital marketing campaign will effectively expand our sales force and help us reach wider markets as we grow globally.”
Barrett Steel, founded in 1910 in Bradford, is made up of 47 companies operating from 25 locations across the UK and serving customers worldwide. The company supplied steel for the Marks & Spencer distribution centre development on the M606 in Bradford. Its specialist laser tube technology has been used to supply steel for the Olympic Stadium and Weston Super Mare Pier.
NetConstruct is an award winning agency, which regularly appears in the UK’s top 100 digital design and development agencies, with a strong presence in the manufacturing, export and professional services sectors.
