Care & Repair Leeds is currently looking for a Treasurer / Trustee
We need a new Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees to help guide and advise us on financial concerns. We are looking for someone with a passion for ensuring high quality services are provided to people who need support to remain living independently and safely in their homes, and who has experience of Financial Controls.
An understanding of Charity finance and legal requirements would be useful, but this is not essential.
We have a dedicated Finance Manager and so the role of Treasurer is to help oversee the financial work of our organisation, not to be involved in the day-to-day running of the Finance Department.
Strategic vision and the ability to advise on the financial implications of Care & Repair’s strategic plans and new business opportunities, is a core responsibility.
As a Trustee, you will contribute to the Board of Trustees’ role in giving firm strategic direction to the organisation, setting overall policy, defining goals and evaluating performance.
We have a Finance & Strategy Sub-Committee with delegated Authority from the Board of Trustees. The new Treasurer will need to be able to attend both of these meetings as well as presenting at our AGM and attend a Trustee Annual away day. In total, this means a commitment of approx. 10 half-day meetings a year plus the away day. In addition, there may be adhoc meetings with the Chairman/Finance Manager/CEO.
Note: This is a Voluntary Role. There is Volunteer Insurance to cover liabilities if acted within the role of Trustee.
