LUMS – Careers
Salary: £38,205 to £44,263
Closing Date: Sunday 03 September 2023
Interview Date: Friday 15 September 2023
Reference: 0923-23

Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) is a quadruple-accredited, world-ranked, management school. The service the LUMS Careers team provides is central to the student experience and this role plays a crucial part in our offer.

You will be part of a team of high-performing professionals which designs and delivers innovative careers education alongside offering in-depth, and bespoke, advice and guidance. You will work with students at all stages of undergraduate and postgraduate study including our suite of MBA programmes, with an emphasis on supporting those programmes with a focus on strategy and consultancy, alongside supporting individual LU students interested in a career in consultancy and collaborating with sector-relevant student societies.

This role supports our objective to make a hugely positive impact on the employability of students and graduates as measured by the Graduate Outcomes Survey, and on careers related metrics in strategically crucial surveys such as the Financial Times rankings and the QS World University Rankings.

Ideally educated to degree level, with extensive relevant experience, you will have a creative, engaging, and effective professional approach.

You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding and varied workload. The ability to work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders is essential to ensure our approach to careers and employability is innovative and meets the needs of all our students.

We are located in a beautiful part of North West England with great facilities and a warm and welcoming community. We offer an occupational pension scheme, a generous annual leave allowance, excellent training and development opportunities, flexible benefits, an employee assistance programme, and flexible working options.

If you share our commitment to excellent service and enjoy working in a fast-paced and friendly environment, we would love to hear from you.

We welcome applications from people in all diversity groups and those whose experience is outside of Higher Education. An individual based in the South of England may wish to discuss logistics of the opportunity.

This is a full-time post until September 2025.

Potential applicants are encouraged to contact Rory Daly, Head of LUMS Careers, r.daly@lancaster.ac.uk or Tanya Parry, Deputy Head of LUMS Careers (Careers Education & Coaching), t.parry@lancaster.ac.uk for an informal conversation about the role.
