The Smart Works Leeds Trustee Board is expanding.

Smart Works is a women’s charity that gives unemployed women the clothes, coaching and confidence they need to succeed at an interview and start a new chapter. At least 65% of the women we help get a job within a month of their visit. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join the Smart Works Leeds Board of Trustees. Smart Works Leeds was founded in 2019 to serve a large and growing footprint in Yorkshire.

As we enter our second year of operation we are looking for passionate and talented people to join our Board. 

You will have a hands-on role in ensuring Smart Works Leeds is financially sustainable, properly resourced and treats every woman who comes for help with kindness, dignity and care. There is also an important advocacy role, as Trustees are ambassadors who help to build the profile and reputation of our charity.

We are very interested in receiving applications from those with lived experience of the challenges posed by female unemployment and, or, legal and governance experience.
