EY Foundation is looking for volunteers across the UK

EY Foundation is a pioneering corporate foundation that tackles the barriers to employment faced by young people from low-income backgrounds. Through our programmes, we help young people unlock their potential and succeed in the workplace.

We can only do our work with the support of volunteers who offer their time and skills to assist our programmes. Just a small amount of time can make a big difference to the future career aspirations of a young person or the ambitions of a social entrepreneur. Volunteer with the EY Foundation and use your experience to make a positive impact.

We will offer full training and support to ensure your volunteering experience is enjoyable and rewarding.

Volunteer opportunities across the UK

1.      Workshop Facilitator

Support or lead our employability training workshops. Offer as little as one hour or up to one day of your time, depending on your availability.

2.      Guest Speaker or Panellist

Speak about your career journey, current job or a specialist topic at one of our events, sharing your experience with groups of young people and answering their questions. Events can last between one – three hours.

3.      Business Experience Host

Host a student for work experience in your team as part of our Smart Futures or Our Future programmes, arranging a series of engaging activities for up to 4 consecutive days and showcasing your area of work. If you are interested in this opportunity, look at our employer page to learn how we work with other businesses.

4.      Mentor

Mentor a student during their final year in full-time education and provide guidance on decisions about their future, through monthly meetings for up to 10 months. Specialist NSPCC online child protection training, as well as mentoring and safeguard training, is provided. Please note you will also require a DBS check.

5.      Business Coach

Work one-to-one with a social entrepreneur offering practical advice to help them meet their business goals. Commit to regular meetings for a 12-month period to see the impact of your coaching.

Please note volunteers may be subject to an independence check, and employees of audit clients of EY may face independence restrictions.

About the Organisation

The EY Foundation is a pioneering corporate foundation. It was created in 2014 as an independent registered charity with an independent majority board and core funding and support from EY. A service agreement between EY and EY Foundation ensures good governance of the relationship and that each maximises its contribution to the endeavour. The EY Foundation and EY agreed a new increased five-year funding agreement in 2020. The charity has also been successful in raising substantial funds on top of those provided by EY.
